All trains between Thionville and Luxembourg were paused following an accident in the early hours of Monday morning.
A serious accident on the TER Metz-Luxembourg line caused significant delay to commuter travel on Monday morning.
According to SNCF, an accident involving an injury to a person occurred on Luxembourg territory just after 7 am. Service resumed around 11am, although both CFL and TER train operators have warned passengers to check their journeys as some trains could be subjected to cancellations or delays.

All trains were halted between Thionville and Luxembourg, one of the three principal rail lines in the country and the most used by the French cross-border workforce. A bus replacement service was deployed to carry passengers to Luxembourg, Bettembourg and Thionville.
No further information is currently available as to the nature of the incident or the condition of the injured person.
CFL announced that an emergency response had taken placed near the border at Bettembourg; specifically the stretch of line between Bettembourg station and the French border.
