A serious accident occurred on Route de Luxembourg near a shopping centre at around 6pm on Saturday.

A woman was hit by a car as she was crossing the street. She first hit the bonnet and was then propelled into the wind screen of the car, after which she was pushed to the ground by the impact.

The victim was conscious but was taken to hospital with severe pelvis injuries. Police were called to the scene to record all necessary information.
