Two people triggered a police chase on Avenue L. Salentiny in Ettelbruck on Saturday evening, when they insulted a passing police patrol.

The officer turned their vehicle around to check on the two men. Both of them tried to escape as soon as they noticed that police were coming back for them. Officers were able to detain one of the individuals in Grand Rue.

After a long chase, the second man was caught in the garden of a house in rue Pierre Wiser. He showed very aggressive behaviour towards the police officers, who then decided to use pepper spray against the man, according to the police report.

Both individuals were taken to the police station where they still refused to cooperate with the officers. The men were intoxicated and one of them carried an illegal weapon. The other was taken to a sobering-up cell.

The men were fined for purposefully misidentifying themselves to police officers, possession of an illegal weapon, rebellion, and insulting police officers.
