The police were called to an illegal gathering during the early hours of Saturday. Between 150 and 190 people were present, at least one of whom is thought to be COVID positive.
The incident took place in an area of the Bambësch known as "Um Siewebueren" from Friday evening to Saturday.
Officers were informed that one person, potentially Covid-19 positive, was among the guests.
Upon arrival, police personnel observed the presence of between 150 to 190 people, most of whom were not complying with hygiene measures imposed by the health authorities. In fact, only a dozen people were said to be wearing masks.
The illegal gathering was immediately disrupted by the police and the officers' actions were not met well as they became the target of numerous insults as the revelers were sent home.
