The accident, which occurred on the RN31, required large scale intervention by the emergency services.
Two fire stations, an ambulance, the Grand Ducal police and Samu first responders were called to the site. The motorcyclist had lost control of the bike and crashed into the barrier. The emergency services transported the unconscious victim to hospital for treatment.
The road was blocked to traffic following the incident, which occurred at 10.30pm.
